The Christmas Gift
How often do we discount or mistreat others? And how often are we treated badly by others? And how often are the reasons for those conflicts a mystery, even to us?
The Christmas Gift by R. William Bennett is a charming story of a newcomer, a bully, and the benefits of doing the right thing. The lessons young Scott learns are good reminders to all of us who are tempted to react in kind rather than responding kindly.
As I’m preparing to spend time with family over the holidays, this book reminds me to look beneath the surface behaviors, to accept more than my part in disagreements, and to do the right thing. Sometimes I need that. We all have unhealed places in our lives and we all need a Christmas gift – throughout the year.

Dear Pat,
Hello! I came across your blog,The Sandwich Generation, and wanted to reach out to you about doing a review of my eBook, The Caregiver Organizer for MY Aging Parent. It is an electronic organizer for anyone caring for a parent, or any aging loved one. It will help them keep their parent’s information organized for themselves, for their parent, and for their parent’s caregiver. We provide the templates, and they fill the book out on their own computer. It includes everything ranging from schedules, doctor visits and family birthdays to emergency instructions and even final wishes.
As you know, we’re living in a time when many of us are taking care of our own families, as well as trying to manage our parent’s needs. This eBook can help take some of that stress off of the adult child by keeping much of the information organized for them. It also opens up lines of communication between parent and child to find out how the parent really wants to be cared for as he or she ages.
If you are interested in doing a review on your blog, I’d love for you to take a look at the eBook. I can offer an eBook for a giveaway and also a discount coupon code to your readers if you’d like to pass that along.
Thanks so much, and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Sincerely,
Melissa Bishop
